Continuing a series of practice-oriented learning activities, within the framework of the “Chinese for Culture” course, on the afternoon of April 20 and the morning of April 22, Junior students of Chinese Studies program took part in two cultural exchange sessions with Mr. Tang Junkai, a lecturer from Yunnan Normal University, China.

The event further underscored the strong and sustained partnership between the two institutions, while also reflecting ongoing efforts to integrate real-world perspectives into the academic curriculum. During the sessions, Mr. Tang Junkai provided in-depth insights into two seemingly familiar yet culturally rich topics that hold significant importance in Chinese spiritual life: naming conventions and longevity celebration customs. Through a clear and engaging delivery, complemented by practical and relatable examples, he highlighted the cultural characteristics and the underlying social values embedded in these traditions. His stories offered multidimensional perspectives, making specialized language learning more accessible and practically grounded than ever before.
