Mission and Vision
The Faculty of Oriental Studies of USSH, VNU Hanoi was officially established in 1995 according to the decision of VNU Hanoi (Decision No 436/TCCB by the Director of VNU Hanoi dated 21st October 1995). The Faculty focuses on regional studies and country studies in an inter-disciplinary way.
1. Mission
FOS’s mission is to train high-quality human resources specializing in regional studies and country studies; to meet the demands of the society in the context of integration and globalization; to develop necessary input and provide high-quality knowledge on Oriental studies for domestic and overseas research projects.
2. Vision
FOS’s vision is to improve the quality of training products and scientific research for training; to meet the demands of the society in the context of integration and globalization
3. Development Orientation
FOS’s development orientation aims to promote internal strength and community strength; constantly strive to build and develop in depth knowledge; improve the quality of education and scientific research; develop a contingent of highly qualified staff; complete the system of curricula and training programmes with a new vision to become an institution with combination of training and research close to the standards of high-ranking universities in the region.
